The Kid Returns Home
Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the best ball players to come throught the 1990's. He came up as a young man to a Mariners ball club that wasn't very well know as being a contender. He blew up the 90's with homeruns and crazy defensive plays, making him a certain future hall of famer. When he left the Mariners for the 2000 season to go to the Reds, he was never the same. He could still hit like Griffey but he kept getting injured. He hasn't played a full season in what seems like forever. I grew up watching Griffey, idolizing him, immatating his stance when playing ball with my friends, wearing my hat backwards when hitting because that's what Griffey did. He was projected to smash Hank Aaron's homerun record, but he never got the chance to. I'm just glad he's back in the place he belongs and he can finish his hall of fame career in good fashion.
